These S & W spur trigger revolvers were made from 1877 to 1891 and all are antique.Probably very late 1880,s,and from the wear pattern,no doubt carried in open holster,or wagon for many years ! The mechanical,top frame lockup,and grips are excellent.The bore has had usual biack powder use with pitting and visible rifling.With a good cleaning might get to a 5.The nickel plating is in some areas with pitting and dark pitting ; see photos. This would be one for a begining ,or type collector. I sell my antigue guns for display and collecting. If intending to use,one must have a gunsmith check for safety and correct loading. Though considered an antique under federal law, some States require sending to an F.F.L. .
