Description: This 1980 double action revolver is a Colt Trooper MK III chambered in .22 Long Rifle. It has a 6-round fluted cylinder, a 6-inch flat top solid matte-finished rib target barrel, a shrouded knurled knob ejector rod, a fixed, pinned serrated ramp and blade front sight, an adjustable square-notched blade rear sight, a smooth, wide curved trigger, a case color hardened wide spur hammer with cross stitch pattern, and dark brown hard rubber PRESENTATION grips by Pachmayr. This piece has the heavy target barrel with a clear sharp Prancing Pony on the left side plate. The left side of barrel is stamped in two lines, 'TROOPER MK III / * .22 LONG RIFLE *'. Designed as a less expensive alternative to the upscale Colt .357 and the later Colt Python and Colt King Cobra, the Colt Trooper MK III is a must-have for any Colt collector. The bluing is in overall very good condition, showing some muzzle wear and with some light handling marks and nicks throughout. The dark brown hard rubber Pachmayr grips are in very good to excellent condition, with only incidental handling wear observable.
