These exceptionally fine guns were made for and imported by Colt in the late 60's and or early 70's. They ranged in cals up to 458 as i recall. This one is chambered in ultra capable 7mm Rem Mag which we have always catagorized as a 270 on Steroids. Capable of handling any 4 legged game on the continent.
These are stunning guns styled in the heyday of the Weatherby era but a little less gaudy and more classicly beautiful with richly figured dark walnut and redwood acents at the forend and pg cap. The pistol grip cap wears the Colt Rampant Col inlet on a stunning black background. This gun has seen a bit of time in the field and although largely free of bumps and bruises there is some evidence of moisture on some of the blued areas esp at and near the muzzle....see pics. We are describing the metal at 80 % and the stock at 90%. These are never found at our listed price, We have many used Leupolds and other scopes that would go nicely with this fine quality rifle
