Description:
L.C. Smith Crown Grade double barrel shotgun in 12 Gauge. Only 890 Crowns were made between 1913 and 1945. As they were "Made to Order", it is unlikely any two Crowns would be identical. This shotgun has 32-inch barrels marked L.C. Smith Crown Grade/Made to order by the Hunter Arms Co. Inc. Fulton N.Y. Case hardened sidelock action engraved with fine foliate scroll and floral details. Game scenes on each lock: Right lock; pair of pointers in woodland setting, Left lock; pair of setters in grassland setting. Gold crown on top lever. Ejectors. Non-automatic safety. Finely checkered pistol grip stock of highly figured walnut. Rubber recoil pad and grip cap. Finely checkered Schnabel fore-end. The barrels are topped with two white beads on a ventilated rib. It is choked at 0.036/0.036 inches (Full/Full). The Length of Pull is 14 Inches. The Drop at Comb is 1 1/2 Inches and the Drop at Heel is 2 inches. It weighs 8 1/2 pounds. 12 Gauge
