Description:
This an E.M. Reilly & Co. percussion 12 gauge shotgun. At some point in its life it had a professional conservation. While checkering is somewhat worn and shows this gun's use, the wood is extremely solid and shows no cracks. Wood selection is fancy walnut as seen in pictures. The locks, triggers, and hammers are crisp and tight. Hammers, locks, trigger guard and tang are all engraved. Metal buttplate is original. This gun works and feels as it was originally intended. Inscription on left and right lock reads

Our limited disassembly of this shotgun has provided the number "1372" on the underside of the barrels. Nipples are able to be removed and replaced as they should. The damascus barrels show beautiful patterns throughout the entire length of the barrel.
Fine metal inlay on barrel rib between the hammers. "G. H. Bales, Ipswich" is beautifully inscribed on rib. Original ramrod in place and included. Barrel wedgepin is tight and doing the job that it should.

Approximate cant = 1/2" to the right
