Description:
Colt Combat Commander Series 70 Engraved by Tiffany Jordan Harris mfg 1973 with original box and letter of authenticity from the engraver. Original owner of the gun was David Harris. Having inherited Weldon Bledsoe's desk and tools, It was engraved on the very desk of Weldon Bledsoe with the hammer and chisels he used. Traditional Hand Engraving!

"I have been a Texas Gun Engraver for only a few years now yet I have been around engraving all my life. I learned the art of engraving from, my father, master gun engraver David Wade Harris. Growing up I was always fascinated with engraving and the firearms industry. I am not limited to only engraved guns but I engrave anything that is made of metal; knife engraving, Luxury Watches, custom car parts ect.. all engrave very nicely.
My dad has included in his Gallery of Guns engraved Revolvers, Semi-Auto Pistols, Bolt Action Rifles, and Floor Plates, Shotguns, and several pages of photos of Lever Action Rifles and Single Action Revolvers. My work reflects the great gun engravers of the mid to late 1800s, such as L.D. Nimschke, and Cuno Helfritch and of course David Wade Harris, Weldon Bledsoe and Cole Agee. I am most noted for carrying on the tradition of engraving the Cattlebrands as did my mentors. Most people find my prices very reasonable. As a child, I grew up around my dad in his workshop as he would engrave. As I grew older and my love for art and guns grew with me, my father greatly influenced my desire to be an engraver. Even as a child I was fascinated with all the tools my dad would use and how he could make a gun or knife into a canvas for his artwork. We went to countless numbers of gun shows where he would present his work as I played under the tables. After graduating from college, I decided to fully immerse my time with practicing and observing the art of Gun Engraving, and with time I was able to complete several works of my own. My work as a professional engraver is currently under the oversight of, and in the same shop as, David Harris, allowing me to have access to his invaluable advice and if need be expert aid of 35 years.
