The slide has a duotone finish - the sides have a high-polished blued finish, while the top of the slide has a dull finish. Other specifications are: total length: approximately 8½ inches; height: approximately 6½ inches (with sights and magazine); width: 1 1/8 inches; unloaded weight: 2 pounds, 11.2 ounces (with empty magazine); trigger pull weight: approximately 4½ pounds. The Springfield Armory 1911-A1 .38 Super pistol is no longer in production. The year of manufacture of this pistol is May 1990. There are no box, owner’s manual, or other accessories other than a single 10-round magazine mentioned above. The overall condition of this gun is 95+ percent. The finish on the sides of the slide is almost perfect – 99 percent. The top of the slide has a small scrap on the left, just above “1911”. The finish on the frame has a few very small scratches on both the left and right sides, just below the slide and behind the grip panels – 98 percent. The blue finish on the belly of the recoil-spring tunnel is mostly worn off. The blue finish on the bottom of the trigger guard is about 80 percent. The blue finish on the grip safe is about 40 to 50 percent. There is a small amount of wear on the front sight and a touch on the rear sight. Aside from these scratches and worn bluing, there are no other marks or blemish. There is no rust anywhere on the gun. The G10 composite grip panel are like new – 100 percent. Do not know how many rounds have been fires through this gun; however, given its overall condition, I would guess not a lot, probably no more than two or three thousand rounds. Though it is 34 years old, most of that time has been sitting in a safe. The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details.
