Description:
For your consideration, a Colt model 1902 pistol chambered in .38 Rimless Smokeless aka .38 ACP. With its squared-off frame and lanyard swivel this is an example of the "Military" variant of the 1902. Much of the overall "Royal Blue" finish and brilliant nitre bluing on small parts remains. This piece features a period-correct spurt type hammer for its production year of 1909. The 1902 is historically significant for it's position in the evolutionary development of the 1911 pistol of much renown. .38 Rimless Smokeless
