Sometimes referred to as the poor man's model 70...these resemble more in stature a 22 than a big bore rifle however they can be quite accurate and some have been known to shoot 1/2 groups with handloads. The stock has been beautifully refinished to resemble fine furnature while the metal ...all blue remains near new and original. Produced from 48 to 53 though many continued to have been sold until approx 1957. We think this is a later produciton gun based on the higher ser. # (51xxx). The ancient Weaver is dated and not functional however the bases should accept a modern 1" scope. These were produced in 25 20, 32 20, and more commonly found in 22 Hornet.
