This pre-lock S&W 686-3 was manufactured around the late 80‚‚s - early 90‚‚s. It is chambered in .357 Magnum (but will also fire .38 special ammo safely). It features S&W‚‚s signature wood grips with nice checkering and the S&W logo.
Overall, this revolver is in great condition for its age. However, it does show some minor wear and handling marks. Mechanically it‚‚s in great shape. The action is still tight and the timing in single and double action are good. Many argue that the older Smith revolvers had smoother actions and were overall nicer, this one is no exception.
