Description:
Excellent condition Over/Under Shotgun Rifle combination in 20 Guage over 22 Magnum. Heym called these guns "Breake - Down - Safety Weapons". The gun appears to have two triggers but, in fact, only the front one is the trigger. The rear one is pulled first, rather firmly, to cock the action. The lever on the left side of the receiver is a barrel selector switch, up for the shotgun barrel and down for the rifle barrel. The barrel has a two leaf rear sight with a wide V. The receiver has engraving of rabbits and birds in a soft silver color. The bluing is very deep and lusterous. There are a few small marks on the stock but nothing serious, mostly from handling over the past 40 years.I bought this about 20 years ago in unfired condition and have put about 50 rounds through the rifle barrel and about 20 through the shotgun barrel. I have let my grandson shoot this a couple of times as a reward for good grades, it is a special gun made with care by Heym in West Germany. The action is tight and locks up with a click and has a great trigger. It may cost more than a Savage 24, but I think that it is way cooler.
