These interesting little double action revolvers were made for concealed carry self-defense in the early 20th Century. The .32 caliber holds 6 shots of .32 S&W while the .38 caliber holds 5 shots of .38 S&W, with both having a 3-1/4 inch barrel. The most unique part of these revolvers is the bobbed hammer, which is knurled on top so that one can cock the hammer, either for use in single action mode or to put into half-cock for loading and unloading. The patent date on both of the revolvers is October 4, 1887. This handgun was similar to the standard Young America, but its lack of a hammer spur was considered the “Safety” in that it was touted as being less liable to catch on clothing when being drawn. The overall condition on the .38 S&W is fine. Original nickel finish and case colors. The action is excellent. The bore is in fine condition, bright with sharp rifling. The grips are solid. Five shot cylinder. The overall condition on the .32 H&R is near fine. Original nickel finish. The action is excellent. The top latch has no spring tension at present. The bore is in very good condition with strong rifling. Grips are solid. 6 shot cylinder. The case is homemade with a nice burl veneer, and it remains in fair condition.
