Description:
This 1977 double action revolver is a Colt Trooper MK III chambered in .357 Magnum. It has a 6-round fluted cylinder, a 6-inch flat top solid matte-finished rib target barrel, a shrouded knurled knob ejector rod, a fixed, pinned serrated ramp and serrated blade front sight, an adjustable square-notched blade rear sight, a smooth, wide curved trigger, a case color hardened hammer with cross stitch pattern, and diamond checkered hardwood grips with gold, rampant Colt emblems. This piece has the heavy target barrel with a clear sharp Prancing Pony on the left side plate. The left side of barrel is stamped in two lines, 'TROOPER MK III / * .357 MAGNUM CTG. *'. Designed as an upscale alternative to the less expensive Colt MK III .22 Long Rifle, this Colt Trooper MK III is a must-have for any Colt collector. The bluing is in good condition, with noticeable loss at the muzzle, and with some light marks to both sides of the frame. The wood grips are in fair to good condition, with the right grip panel showing a 9 mm sized chip and a couple of other 2 mm sized chips at the base.
