Description:
Winchester Model 70 Target Pre-'64 .30-06 rifle for sale. Rifle is in excellent condition with excellent bore. Trigger, safety and bolt function well. I have fired this rifle using an IMR 4350 powder charge with 190 grain Sierra Match King bullets and the rifle will hold MOA for 5 shot 100 yard groups. The best group was 0.62 inches. I am not a skilled bench shooter, another shooter may do better. The rifle is as pictured and features a new EGW Picatinny rail, a new metallic rear sight mount, front hand stop, front sight base, checkered steel buttplate, front (but not rear ) scope mount and sling swivels. Minor handling marks on the stock. Blueing is a conservative 85% except for the extractor and bolt knob due to normal wear. So this rifle is ready for the range, and should give very good service - an M70 in nice condition waiting for an appreciative rifleman.
