Description:
This double proofed German Youth Knife is in fine condition having nearly perfect hilt plating. It is the pot metal style base. Aside from just a little plating missing on the obverse pommel and the reverse pommel where the leather strap covered the rest of the perfect. The grip plates are in perfect condition being retained by steel rivets still having the plating on the heads of the rivets. The HJ insignia is in perfect condition throughout with its fine colors. The scabbard is straight and has outstanding original paint. This paint is nearly full mint showing only a couple of minor wearing signs but hardly noticeable.
The leather belt loop is in nice condition being a black color and having a retaining loop with working snap. The blade is the style with ricasso. It is still bright throughout showing just a few scratches on the surface but they don't really detract from this nice bright blade. The reverse is marked with the maker we very seldom seen being G Lütters which has the logo of a resting lion beneath the word Solingen. Beneath the logo is a small open RZM circle with the code of M7/59. The original blade buffer is in place.
A very fine example here with a rare maker.
