This Thompson Center Contender is chambered in .221 Remington Fireball was manufactured in the second half of 1978. The 1.5x177 scope mounted with Redfield base/ring on the barrel is Thompson Center branded with target knobs and a duplex reticle. The model 1.5P scope was manufactured in Japan and has a low serial number of 00992. The front sight is the ramped, square-profile Patridge style. The rear sight had been removed to mount the scope and is not included. The metal finish has very few imperfections; the most notable are 3 small rust spots on the right side of the barrel near the front sight and a small rust spot on the top right front of the scope base. The walnut grip and forearm are near perfect and the butt of the grip has cast butt plate. The bore is bright and shiny and the muzzle is undamaged.
