Description:
Exceptional Dale Goens custom rifle utilizing a Sako L461 action in caliber .223 Remington. Features include a highly figured English walnut stock with proper layout and 14 1/8" LOP, skeleton buttplate and grip cap, shadow line cheekpiece, inletted sling swivel bases, intricate checkering design and execution, four panel checkered bolt knob, jewelled bolt body and follower, custom bolt release, custom scope bases, and Blackburn bottom metal. The custom barrel is 24" in length and has Herman Waldron's markings on the underside of the chamber.
Mr. Goens had a reputation as one of the finest custom stockmakers in existence, and this is a superb example of his craft. It is uncommon to find one of his rifles so marked "Dale Goens" on the barrel. It remains in 99% condition and appears to be unfired. Overall, this rifle shows elite workmanship in every respect.
