Description:
For your consideration, a Colt Model of 1911 U.S. Army pistol chambered in .45 Auto. The frame is marked with the GHS monogram of then-ordnance inspector and later Brigadier General, Gilbert H. Stewart. Overall finish is an even parkerizing with some small parts mate blued. The magazine is the period correct two-tone type. All-in-all a prime example of a pre-A1 1911. This piece dates to 1916. .45 Auto
