Description:
Serial #AM874, .22 LR, 25" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This single shot converted Mk. III* has a 1917 date on the wrist, ".22 No. 2" marked bolt head, a Parker-Hale marked barrel, and British military acceptance stamps throughout. The metal retains 80-85% of the armory re-applied blue finish with some plum-brown fading, as well as silvering at the high edges and projections. The matching numbered nosecap retains a commensurate amount of armory blue, and there is further gray fading on the handle of the matching numbered bolt. Import marks are present on the right rear of the receiver. The wood has a very nice added varnish finish over numerous minor handling marks and surface blemishes throughout, heaviest on the buttstock which has a blank brass disk. An empty .303 magazine housing is also included. This is a very good-near fine .22 training rifle conversion, and would make a splendid addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
