Massachusetts Arms Company 2nd Model Maynard Carbine chambered in .50 Caliber Percussion. Standard second model also known as the model-1863 Maynard Carbine had production of just over 20,000 arms between 1863–1865. The serial number (17543) suggests that it was produced in 1865. Features include a 20-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear sight leaves. Smooth walnut straight stock with metal buttplate and dual inspector stamps on left side of stock. .50 Caliber
