Description:
This 1958 right-hand bolt action rifle is a Winchester Model 70 chambered in .375 H&H Magnum. It has a fixed serrated ramp brass beaded blade front sight, a "flip over" adjustable rear iron sight, a German-style "flip-away" receiver-mounted base and scope ring system, swivel stud mounts top and bottom, a curved serrated trigger, a diamond checkered fore arm, and a diamond checkered pistol grip stock, with laminated plexiglass spaced ventilated red rubber Pachmayr Whiteline butt pad. It has a 13⅜" LOP, and an overall length of 45½". Serial number is 437979. The bluing is in overall very good condition, with some loss at the muzzle, and with some light freckling on the baseplate. The wood is in good condition, but showing numerous light compression marks and handling wear throughout. The bore is bright and shiny with crisp rifling intact. .375 H&H Magnum
