Part of my collection, this Underwood M1 carbine is a nice, complete example. The gun shows little sign of wear and appears to be in superb condition. The bore is beautiful. Barrel is Underwood 1-44; sling well marked M-U; P is stamped on front side of grip; nice UEF,GHD crossed cannons cartouche on right buttstock; front sight marked EU; oiler marked IU; recoil plate marked AU; trigger housing type 4 U; handguard marked M-U; hammer marked U; ordnance bomb and W stamped on rear bevel of receiver. This rifle comes with a sling that appears to be original and a 15 round mag that is not original. The type 1 rear flip sight has no markings and may be a replacement.
