Description:
This is a Type 1 Model 1911A1 .45 ACP made by Remington Rand in early 1943 for issue to the US Military. Type 1 address has no USA in it and is larger Font. Original finish as issued. It was never rebuilt or re-arsenalized at a Military armory or anywhere else.. The barrel is High Standard marked HS and P proofed, correct blue finish and the bore is mirror bright. The gun is correctly FJA accepted and P proofed on the frame and slide. The crossed cannon acceptance mark and serial number are deep and clear. The magazine is R for Risdon and is military issue and period correct. The frame is correctly Dulite blued over sandblasted finish. Some small parts are correctly Colt as was done on these earliest Type 1 guns. The grips are correctly the early Keys Fiber with no re-enforcing rings. The gun operates smoothly with everything working as it should. A very nice and unique example of a hard to find Type 1 Remington Rand 1911A1. Shipping is $50 to your FFL dealer.
