Description:
Outstanding custom 243 built in the late 1960s by Paul Jaeger of Jenkintown,PA. Built on a Sako L579 action,this rifle is a great example of the high quality work done by Jaeger. The stock is very highly figured European walnut with 28 line checkering and a slim beavertail forend. It has a 24" Douglas premium barrel,Blackburn bottom metal,and a custom trigger. The floorplate,trigger guard,and grip cap are beautifully engraved by Claus Willig,with germanic oak leaves,gold wire inlays,and a gold inlay of a woodchuck. It has Leupold 1" rings installed. A true work of gunmaking art that would cost well over $20K to duplicate today. Mint original condition.C&R eligible. Price includes shipping to your FFL.
