Description:
Up for sale is a pre-64 Winchester model 70 action (Short magnum). The bolt and receiver are matching And in good shape. It comes with an original new old stock Blackburn bottom metal before swift bought them out. The magazine box has not been altered to fit the Blackburn bottom metal, You have to cut the magazine box down by approximately .200 thou. Does come with the original bottom metal as well, but it is in rough shape . The rear tang has been polished along with the Top of the right receiver rail. It is stamped 458 on the bottom of the recoil log so it is a true (Short magnum) Action not a modified 30–06. Would be a great start for a 300 win mag, 338 win mag, 264 win mag, 7mm rem mag 458 win mag or are any other similar cartridges belted or non-belted. Price is 1450. If Someone wanted to buy both of the actions I had listed to make a 375H and H and a 300 win mag Matching pair I would take 2550 for the pair of them
