This is an uncommon Colt 3-5-7 revolver in even more uncommon nickel plating and a 4" barrel. The 3-5-7 was Colt's premium .357 Magnum revolver prior to the introduction of the Python. It was kept in the Colt catalog until about 1961 after roughly 15,000 examples were manufactured. This has initials engraved on one side but I've not been able to identify the meaning...whether for an individual or a company or agency.
