Mass. Arms Co, mdl. Second Model Maynard 1865 Cal. .50 Percussion Ser. 24XXX. What an amazing condition Civil War Carbine made late into the war. This pretty much unissied Second Model made in 1865 retains ~75% of the original case hardening on the receiver. With over 90% of the original blue on the barrle remaining. The only loss comes from light fading or some edge silving on a few sharp edges along the barrel flats and very small freckling along the receiver. The bore is mint, crisp with razor sharp rifling and no pits The original oil finish on the stock is over 80% with very shallow dings along the left side and a very minute depression from the saddle ring on the stock. The original military acceptance proofs remain clear and crisp. An amazing find for someone who needs to add the scarce Maynard carbine to their collection. Priced at. $3199.
