This is the Maine Sesquicentennial commemorative Fronter Scout 22 Single Action Army revolver manufactured by Colt in 1970 featuring "1820 & MAINE SESQUICENTENNIAL & 1970" on the barrel with gold plated barrel, frame and trigger and contrasting nickel plated grip frame, cylinder and hammer. In excellent, like new condition, the metal surfaces retain virtually all, 99% plus original finish with no sign of turn marks on the cylinder and only faint handling marks and one tiny blemish spot on the cylinder. The synthetic pearl grips which feature gold rampant Colt medallions are likewise excellent. It comes in the original blue velvet lined, wood Colt display case that features a pressed image Maine and anniversary logo. The original lobster medallion is not present and the hinge pins have been removed from the case and are no longer present. An excellent example of a Colt commemorative Frontier Scout revolver.
