1873 Winchester 1st Model Rifle manufactured in 1874. .44-40 caliber. Serial number 23,941. 24" octagon barrel with full magazine tube. Very nice bore, I will rate it an 8 on a scale from 1 to 10. This is just a dirty untouched highly sought after 1873 rifle. Barrel and magazine tube retain blue mixed in with an even brown patina. Original sights and excellent markings. Forend cap still retains some nice original blue (see pics). Receiver retains a small percentage of it's original blue with remainder a nice brown / gray patina. Action functions very nicely and with no lever drooping. Hammer and lever retain molted out case colors. Both forend and buttstock are in good condition. Both pieces retain some of their original finish and fit nice and tight. Wood is still proud. Original dust cover is intact but missing screw / stopper. This is a very nice above average 1st Model 1873 Winchester Rifle. Antique and can be shipped directly to your doorsteps. Please feel free to ask questions.
