Description:
.54 cal smooth bore, NVSN, 8 inch brass barrel with Birmingham proofs, "LONDON" on top of barrel, iron lock marked "ALLPORT/late with/KETLAND & Co", brass furniture, walnut stock, early 1800's.
James Allport was partners with Willian Ketland as Ketland & Co from 1800 to 1931. With Birmingham proofs probably after 1813.
Condition: black powder oxidation the length of the barrel, brass is smooth mustard color, stock is excellent with a few chips and minor cracks, hammer stands at full cock, can feel as it passes half cock.
