Description:
This right hand bolt action chassis rifle is a Remington 700 PCR (Precision Chassis Rifle) chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. It has a 24" Cerakote finish carbon steel barrel with 5R rifling, a user-adjustable X Mark Pro trigger, a Magpul PRS Gen 3 stock, a Magpul pistol grip, a Magpul 5-round detachable magazine, an oversize bolt knob, and a 13¾" long free float aluminum octagonal handguard slathered with M-Lok slots to deliver high-end modularity as well as giving the user eight positions for mounting accessories. The length of pull is 14¼" and the overall length is 43¾". This rifle is built with aluminum-chassis technology that has proves to be very effective; not only is it impervious to the elements, but it also does not swell in humidity as wood does. The bore of this 24-inch, heavy-contour, bull barrel is cut with five grooves instead of the usual six, creating the 5R rifling that is referred to in Remington's literature. This configuration puts a land across from a groove instead of across from another land, reducing the amount of bullet deformation it will impart on the projectile as it passes through. The grooves of 5R rifling are also cut with a gentler angle, further preserving the bullet as it makes its way from breech to muzzle.
