Description:
For your consideration, a B-West AK47S chambered in 7.62x39. The history of this model is rather interesting. Beginning life as a Chinese manufactured rifle, these were in transit when George Bush Sr.'s 1989 import ban on so-called "non-sporting" firearms took effect. As such, the rifles were no longer importable, and sat languishing in customs while litigation between B-West and several federal agencies ensued. Eventually, B-West opted to de-mil the rifles and had them rebuilt on US-made receivers. The left receiver is drilled and tapped for a proprietary scope mount offered by B-West. Otherwise, this is identical to its imported Chinese cousins. 7.62X39mm
