Description:
6 shot revolver with 8 inch round barrel chambered in 44 caliber. This gun had probably some poor storage with some pitting on the barrel and cylinder. Looks like someone cleaned it years ago and put some sort of finish on it which has mostly worn off. 86k serial range. Numbers matching except for the wedge. Grips are pretty good cond with just a couple of light chips out. Fit is VG. Action needs a tune-up as it does not stay cocked. Cylinder advances when hammer is pulled back but does not stay in cocked position. It rests in the half-cock position. Made in 1863.
