M1873 trapdoor,serial number 2214,mfg 1874.All early features,hammer, breechblock ,cleaning rod head,smooth trigger, early sights, dated lock with 2 click tumbler,short comb,long wrist stock,barrel with 90% original blue and lock starting to turn plum color.Very unusual well made brass butt recoil plate with old hard rubber insert been on gun for a long time maybe since mfg.arsenal experiment ?? Never seen another like it.Cartouche on lower wrist but no ESA marking,wood very nice no splits or gouges,no rust or pitting on metal surfaces.Very high condition early 1873 hard to find.
