Description:
WORLD WAR II Soviet Russian TULA ARSENAL Mosin-Nagant M1891 7.65 C&R Rifle

Nice Pre-WORLD WAR II Dated “1934”

Here we present a C&R Soviet Russian Mosin-Nagant Model 1891 Rifle, made in 1934 at the Tula Arsenal with a production run between 1891 and 1973. The Soviet Model 1891 known in the West as the Mosin–Nagant and in Russia as Mosin's rifle is a five-shot, bolt action, internal magazine fed military rifle developed from 1882 to 1891 and used by the armed forces of the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union and various other nations. It is one of the most mass-produced military bolt-action rifles in history with over 37 million units having been made since its inception in 1891, and, in spite of its age, it has been used in various conflicts around the world up to the present day.

The Russian Empire, commonly referred to as Imperial Russia, was a historical empire that extended across Eurasia beginning in 1721. The Empire lasted until the Republic was proclaimed by the Provisional Government that took power after the February Revolution of 1917. The Provisional Government was in place between February 1917 until the U.S.S.R. was formed in 1922. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republic, or U.S.S.R. was the successor to the Russian Empire of the tsars. Following the 1917 Revolution, four socialist republics were established on the territory of the former empire: the Russian and Transcaucasian Soviet Federated Socialist Republics and the Ukrainian and Belorussian Soviet Socialist Republics. On December 30, 1922, these constituent republics established the U.S.S.R.
