1855 Colt Root 2nd Model. .28 caliber and has Hartford barrel address. Serial number 20,700, all matching. This Colt is a little rough but very restorable or use it for parts. Missing three screws: on barrel (left hand side), hammer, and butt. Action indexes properly but trigger won’t engage because is stuck. It looks like it might be pinched on both sides thus not being able to move properly. Again action indexes nicely. Grips are matching and are in decent shape. Octagon barrel measures 3 1/2”.
