A very early canvassback drake by Joseph Keefer of Bath,il. who was a market hunter and one of the earliest of the Illionis river carvers. This bird has original working paint that has cracked with age. The body is of 2 piece construction and is sound.The head is beautifully carved and has glass eyes. It retains the original weights.This is a classic bird from the golder age of market hunting in the upper midwest. price includes shipping and insurance.
