Payment Types Accepted: Description: Antique mid 1800's Enfield style East India company musket. The East India company was a British owned company that existed from the 1600's and dissolved in 1874. It was formed to trade in the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia and later East Asia. At its peak it was the largest corporation in the world that included a army of about 260,000 soldiers in India and Asia. The dark hardwood full stock has numerous markings, cracks, dents , wood loss and repairs including a copper repair at the wrist. The barrel is held to the stock by 4 brass bands. The 34.75 inch 66 caliber dark brown barrel is unit marked 110/KOT/517. The enfield style lock is marked with the rampart lion holding a crown, common on East India guns of the 1800's.
