Description: This circa 1978-79 lever action rifle is a Winchester Big Bore Model 94 XTR chambered in .375 Winchester. It has a fixed hooded blade front sight, an adjustable Buckhorn rear sight, a 20" round blued barrel, a smooth curved trigger, a serrated hammer, a round, banded diamond checkered walnut fore arm, a hard red rubber Winchester Repeating Arms butt pad with black spacer, a 13½" length of pull, and an overall length of 38¼". This rifle appears to be in unfired condition. The left side of the barrel is marked "WINCHESTER BIG BORE MODEL 94 XTR – 375 WIN. / MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL", the top has "WP" proof in oval. The underside of the receiver has the serial number [BB015271], the recoil pad is marked "WINCHESTER / REPEATING ARMS CO." The bluing is in excellent condition, except for a small area adjacent to where the lever attaches to the receiver with what appears to be some light oxidation. The rich dark extra fancy walnut fore arm and butt stock are in immaculate condition. The bore is bright and shiny with sharp, crisp rifling intact. It comes with the original factory cardboard box, Owner's manual, and oil paper. The wood grain on the fore arm and butt stock is incredible on this rifle. The .375 Winchester caliber of the Big Bore Model 94 is the more desirable chambering of this model. This version is highly collectible. .375 Winchester SOLD Metal Condition: "This rifle appears to be in unfired condition.
