Offered here is a very nice original US Civil War issued Burnside carbine, Model 1864, 5th Variation Model, .54 Caliber, Serial #10883, with inspectors cartouche and marks. Nice overall patina, consistant wear on wooden components, nice fairly clean bore, all actions and trigger machanisms work well, sights intact, saddle ring intact, just a 'no-issue' collectable firearm from an historic period.
