MARLIN 1893 TAKEDOWN OCTAGON RIFLE IN .30-30, #318XXX, MADE 1905. A fine example showing deep even blue on the barrel and magazine with only normal light age. The receiver is a mottled gray/brown with excellent screw heads and some good blue on the loading gate. Original buckhorn rear sight with elevator bar intact and small blade front sight. Exc. markings, tight action and takedown, strong safety half-cock on the hammer, and excllent bore. Stock and forend are excellent with tight wood to metal fit showing only very light handling. A nice 119 year old Takedown 1893.
