Description:
Scarce Factory Nickel 2" Colt Detective Special chambered in .32 NP with serial number matching original box that dates production to 1965. This revolver remains in very high condition with no detractions. The original finish still retains a bright luster over the entire frame. Overall the finish rates 99%. The cylinder face, recoil shield, and forcing cone are very clean with almost no discernable turn line on the cylinder itself. The action is crisp with tight lock up, and the bore is clean with strong lands/grooves. The factory walnut grips appear as new and are numbered to the gun. The box itself is in good condition but does show edge wear. All seams/corners are intact with no tape repair. You can still see evidence on the end label where the white "NICKEL FINISH" label has fallen off at some point over the past 59 years.
