WINCHESTER 1873 SADDLE RING CARBINE 44 WCF 20" BARREL CIRCA 1892 WITH FACTORY LETTER DUST COVER IS MISSING ACCORDING TO THE WINCHESTER LETTER IT ARRIVED AT THE WAREHOUSE DECEMBER 23RD, 1892, AND WAS SHIPPED MARCH 7TH, 1892 ON ORDER NUMBER 20955 ALSO INCLUDES A HANDWRITTEN LETTER STATING THAT THE CARBINE PURCHASED BY A BORDER PATROLMAN IN 1925 IN TEXAS WHO HE PREVIOUSLY TAKEN IT FROM A MEXICAN DANDIT WHICH HE HAD KILLED. IT IS IN GOOD OVERALL CONDITION WITH SOME GRAY-BROWN PATINA; THE WOOD HAS SOME MINOR HANDLING MARKS AND NAILS. MECHANICALLY FINE CONDITION.
