Description:
Gastinne Renette of Paris .300 H&H Magnum bolt action rifle. Built on an original DWM Model 1908 Mauser action (Brazilian Contract) with extended top and bottom tangs and a flag safety. Rigby style quick detachable claw mounts on a rail mounted Zeiss Diavari 1.5-6x42 with No. 4 style reticle. Fixed floor plate, trigger bow and extended tang, the grip cap and recoil bar are engraved in a pleasant scroll pattern.
Rifle has a 26" barrel with a perfect bore, one standing and three folding leaf rear island express sight regulated a banded ramp foresight. Full pistol grip stock has a 13 5/8" LOP over a 1” pad, right hand beaded cheekpiece, trap grip cap, steel recoil bar, post sling studs, ebony forend tip and point pattern checkering.
Rifle is very nice and shows little to no use.
Weighs 8 lbs. 6 oz. (9 lbs. 11 oz. scoped). A well-made and affordable rifle.
