Awsome Example of a Colt Presentation Revolver! Colt New Model .32 caliber revolver. Serial number 9147 . 6" Barrel . Most all of its original Gold finish still remaining thinning . With handling marks and scratches to the finish . Hammer , screws and trigger have most all of the original fire blue still remaining. The Wonderful Mother of Pearl Grips are in excellent condition! The grips are monogrammed with the letters JAO . The frame has JAO engraved on the frame . Gun comes with a Silver ring with the letters JAO. Bore and mechanics are in excellent condition. Gun is in excellent working condition.,Gun was presented to John Albert O'Toole when he graduated the Navy Academy! He's Dad was Famous MLB Pitcher Martin ( Marty ) O'Toole . His Mom was Nora O'Toole . His Dad played for the Cincinnati Reds earlier in his career, then went on to play for the N.Y. Giants ! John enlisted in May 7, 1942 as a Ensign. Assigned to the USS Joseph Hewes (AP-50) . He commanded a boat Wave from the transport during the Assault on Fedhala , Morocco . November 8, 1942. He was Killed While withdrawing from the beach. Ensign O'Toole was Posthumously awarded the Navy Cross for " his  great personal valor and relentless fighting spirit, " as he led his wave to the beach and calmly directed the off loading of men and materials , despite the heavy artillery fire from the Enemy! Within a year of joining the U.S. Navy  he was killed and awarded the Navy Cross! Heres a Fantastic Colt Revolver with great American History!
