Description:
I have for sale a nice and rather unusual Winchester Model 21 in 16 gauge.  This gun is serial number 24604 meaning it was built about 1949.  When I purchased this gun it has a beautiful stock but somewhere along the line the stock had been shortened and a recoil pad added.  The stock had such nice grain I decided to send it to Mark Larson who worked his magic and lengthened the stock to 14 3/4 inches and checkered the butt.  I promise you, you or no one else will be able to tell the stock was lengthened.  Zoom in on the attached pictures and see if you can tell where the stock was lengthened.  No one at my club could believe it is not the original wood.  The gun has 28 inch barrels with modified and improved modified chokes which have constrictions of .009 and .017 which falls perfectly in line with the Winchester constrictions listed on page 94 of the Winchester Model 21 book. The barrels have a front and mid ivory bead.  The stock dimensions are 1 5/8 X 2 3/4 X 14 3/4 over the checkered butt.  Cast of the stock is neutral.  Weight of the gun is 7 pounds 5 ounces.  I have to believe this gun was originally intended for duck hunting with the heavier than normal weight and tight chokes.  The gun has normal wear on the blueing for a gun of this age and of course the stock has been refinished.  This would be a great duck gun the way it currently is configured or would be a neat sporting clays gun if so desired.  Lockup is very tight with top lever right of center.  Breech face tells me the gun has been carried more than fired.  Price of the gun is $5000 plus $75 shipping to your FFL.  As always there is a three day non-firing inspection period with buyer paying shipping charges if returned.
