Description:
This distinctive masterpiece is one of the finest guns engraved by master engraver, Angelo Bee. This gun took over 200 hours to finish. The engraving is a replica of the Browning D5G grade that features Louis XVI style scrollwork and is shown on page 382 of the book: “Browning Superposed: John M. Browning’s Last Legacy” by Ned Schwing. This design was created by Felix Funken, who was the head engraver at Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Herstal Belgium for many years. He was also Angelo Bee's teacher and mentor as he had the privilege of being his apprentice for a few years after which he became a factory engraver from 1957 to 1975. Notable features of this gun include an engraved top lever, filed receiver cheeks, a long tang trigger guard and a serrated trigger. The stock is a gorgeous special-order walnut from Belgium that features a straight grip, tear drop carving and engraving, butt plate checkering and a Schnabel fore end. The gun has a stunning grey finish “a la parcodine” by Angelo Bee.
