Payment Types Accepted: Cash, Check, USPS Money Order Description: Browning A-5, "Twenty", light weight 20-gauge, semi-automatic shotgun with a 27-inch, MODIFIED choke barrel with a 2¾ chamber and a ventilated rib, and a gold-colored trigger. The length of pull is approximately 14½ inches. The drop at the comb is about 1¾ inches (measured from the line from the elevated rib). The drop at the heel is about 2½ inches (also measured from the line from the elevated rib). It was manufactured in 1972 in Belgium. There are no box, owner’s manual, or other accessories with this shotgun. The left side of the barrel is stamped “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q.” (first line) and “MADE IN BELGIUM” (second line). Just forward of the receiver are several proof marks (see photos). The right side of the barrel is stamped “BROWNING AUTO – 5” (first line) and “*SPECIAL STEEL 20 GA. SHELLS - 2¾ m- 28” (second line) and “BROWNING PATENTS” (third line). The left side of the receiver is stamped “Twenty” (first line, in script). Further down is stamped “R” with a circle (first line), “BROWNING” (second line), and a portrait stamp of John Browing (third line). These last three lines are enclosed in a floral engraving. The right side and top of the receiver and the tang is stamped with a floral pattern. The overall condition of the gun is 99+ percent. I do not usually call anything 100 percent that is not new-in-the-box (never say “never”) with accessories. The barrel with its high-luster bluing, elevated rib, and receiver are practically perfect, with no scratches, mars, blemishes, or other signs of wear – 100 percent. The walnut stock and forend are in excellent condition with beautiful high-luster finishes. The walnut stock itself is practically perfect, with no scratches, mars, blemishes, or other signs of wear – 100 percent. The forend is similar, except that a few checkering squares are chipped, three on the bottom of the forend about three inches back from the front end of the forend and one also on the bottom about 3½ inches forward of the back end of the forend. That one is accompanied by a very small dent. There is also a very small dent on the bottom of the forend about in the middle of the forend. The checkering on the pistol grip is perfect with no scratches, mars, blemishes, or other signs of wear – 100 percent. Browning - FN butt plate is in excellent condition. The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details. Contact me for additional photos of any area you would like to see or see better. The buyer pays $60 USPS Priority Mail and $41.75 insurance (actual price per USPS ) The fastest way to get this gun is to pay with a USPS (U.S. Postal Service) money order, as they are like cash, and I don’t have to wait for them to clear. However, I will accept a personal check, other type checks, or other type money orders, but I will hold the gun until it clears my bank; that includes bank checks and cashier’s checks. Check or money orders must be made out to Jerry Pownall or Barboursville Arms SOLD |
