Description:
For Sale: Parker Reproduction DHE 28 gauge 2 - barrel set with original leather hard case, canvas over case, and snap caps. This shotgun features a straight stock, splinter forend, SST, and automatic ejectors. The gun has been used by me only once or twice some 20 years ago and has resided in my gun safe ever since. The reason for this is I require an LOP of 16" and I didn't wish to remove the factory skeleton Butt Plate and modify the stock. The bluing is 100% and the bores are as new. The case color has diminished on the receiver which is common on these reproductions. The wood is also in overall excellent condition with a few light handling marks. The 26" barrels are marked IC (.005") and Mod (.010"). The 28" barrels are marked Mod and Full. However, I have had the chokes modified to .008" and .018 " which translates to S2 and IM for a 28 gauge shotgun. Anyone who knows anything about these reproductions knows that the smaller bores had inordinately tight chokes. I opened the chokes tubes so that they would conform to the recommended constrictions for a 28 gauge and its intended use ( upland bird hunting).
