Early model 1873 trapdoor serial # 2214 , all early features,dated lock,2 click tumbler,hammer,high arch breechblock,sights,cleaning rod,smooth trigger, short comb long wrist stock,unusual brass buttplate with old hard rubber recoil pad machined into it,perfect fit into original butt plate mortise.Been on gun a very long time and I've never seen another like it,arsenal proto-type? Has firing proof {P} but no ESA proof mark.90% barrel blue, lock and breech turning plum color.Wood smooth with no splits and just a few old handling marks.Very early and unusual 1873.Buyer pays actual shipping and ins.
